A documentary about a seemingly typical, upper-middle-class Jewish family whose world is instantly transformed when the father and his youngest son are arrested and charged with shocking and horrible crimes.

Grizzly Man chronicles the life and death of bear enthusiast Timothy Treadwell. The film includes some of Treadwell's own footage of his interactions with grizzly bears and interviews with people who knew him. He and his girlfriend Amie Huguenard were killed and eaten by a grizzly bear on October 6, 2003.

This wonderful documentary explores the daily lives of two aging, eccentric relatives of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. Edie Bouvier Beale and her mother, Edith, are the sole inhabitants of a 28 room Long Island estate. Filmmakers Albert and David Maysles allow the women to reveal their rich, engaging personalities. A riveting watch.

This week we talk about 'The Thin Blue Line', a 1988 documentary by Errol Morris, depicting the story of Randall Dale Adams, a man convicted and sentenced to death for a murder he did not commit. Adams' case was reviewed, and he was released from prison approximately a year after the film's release.

Fellow documentary fans, We just love documentaries. The Staircase was released on Netflix Ireland today and we tell you why you have to see it. As we hadn't planned to talk about The Staircase, we recorded this pilot episode without any research or fact-checking. It's just a taste of what the show is about. Spoiler alerts abound from 9.45, we then discuss the series in detail so you really should watch it first or pause at that point.
