Using the Word "SHALL" in English
28/02/2020 Duration: 13minAlthough not commonly used in the English language, I often get asked about the word "Shall" by a lot of my English Learning Students. They want to know how to use it and when to use it. Sometimes they even use it incorrectly. So I decided to make a lesson about it since I have been teaching about Modal Verbs as of late, I felt this would be the perfect time to address this word. "Shall" can be used to find out if someone things a certain suggestion is a good idea. In the US, if you use this word, people will not find it strange, rather they will know you are not a native speaker of the English language, unless you are British or perhaps from another English speaking country where "shall" is used more frequently. But in the US, it is not common to hear this word used often and is sometimes considered an outdated word or a word from much older times.
