Today is December 31st, 2019. The last day of the decade. This is a special mix, highlighting 10 years of tech-house and techno. Starting with 2009, all the way to 2019. Episode 54 is a special episode. It's a live mix (complete with interaction with the crowd) from Fold Theory's "Shameless" party held at The Barbary, here in Philadelphia. DJ Devestator and myself opened for Kalin, and Andrew Fetch (who headlined the night). Thanks to Andrew for capturing the whole night, allowing me to share our opening set with you all. I'm releasing posting this on Thanksgiving as a way to say "thank you" to all of the people who consistently tune in — even when I'm not consistent with the content. Thanks to my brother Mike who puts up with my constant noise making and any given hour of the day when I'm home. There are more people listening around the world, and I can see it from the stats that a good chunk of you are listening to the whole mix too! That warms my heart. It takes a considerable amount of time to craft a mix. Song selection, programming are only two facets of it. Taking you on a journey is a big part of it, and telling a story is a milestone to reach for in every mix I do (this means spending more time doing song curation, selection and programming by the way). Recently, I have had the pleasure of seeing Michelle Sparks, and Made In Paris spin live, and if you were there, you witnessed the same thing I did: techno heaven! These two ladies smashed their sets, and showed Philadelphia some love, all thanks to Ashley & Carlos, the dynamic duo that is Fold Theory.
