    Scripture:  Matthew 2 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  Scott explores the visit of the Magi and the ruthlessness of Herod in this message.  His theme for the entire series has been: the miracle of Christmas is that Jesus joins us...not at our best, but in our mess.  The story of the birth of Jesus is full of very messy episodes, a pregnant unmarried woman, a betrothed man who knows her child is not his, and a ruthless ruler.  Imperfect people who can only be made perfect by the child that is born that first Christmas.

    Scripture:  Matthew 1:1-25 Speaker:  Scott Meyer Summary:  Scott brings the first message in the Christmas Series, Untangling Christmas, finding the miracle in the mess.  He begins with Matthew's account of Jesus' genealogy.  Upon examination of Jesus' ancestors, it is apparent that these were imperfect people.  Yet, through these imperfect people, God brings about the most amazing miracle, the gift of the baby Jesus who would save all of mankind.   Note:  At the conclusion of his message, Scott offers to pray for anyone who wishes for him to do that.
