The letter Beis has the numerical value of two. Being the letter Aleph stands for Hashem who’s the singular force behind creation. The letter Beis stands increase, multiplicity, dissention and many. Because Hashem is one. When you introduce two there’s the possibility for divisibility. That’s also one of the reasons why the Torah starts with letter Beis in the word Bereishis.
