The American southwest is a land, scarred by blood, shaped by tradition, and steeped in magic. Here the ancient Navajo developed a powerful system of healing and protection, but in dark desert canyons, this sacred knowledge was corrupted, and an evil drifted in like a whistle on the wind. And they called it yee naaldlooshii - the Skinwalker. Join us tonight, as we explore harrowing encounters with these shapeshifting witches- shared by our own Navajo listeners and others who live on or near the rez. And while we're not native and we’re not experts, we bring you these stories with good intentions, sincere curiosity and a few laughs, because as a lot of you know, this is a dark topic in hopes of illuminating that darkness, and make the shadows a little less heavy.
